For parents of Transgender and Gender Diverse young people

Many parents/carers of Transgender and Gender Diverse young people feel alone, isolated and confused.

Being in a regional area, there was previously been no access to any face-to-face peer support groups for parents/carers. The purpose of this support group is to fill this much needed gap in the Bendigo region.

Group Objectives

Provide a safe, supportive and confidential environment for parents/carers of Transgender and Gender Diverse young people
To support and assist each other through your young persons journey
The opportunity to meet other parents/families/carers who are going through a similar experience/journey
To share and gather information/knowledge and resources on Transgender and Gender Diversity
To present guest speakers that are relevant and knowledgeable on Transgender and Gender Diversity to the parent support group

The support group for Transgender and Gender Diverse young people provides an opportunity for parents to share their story, seek support, ask questions and learn in a safe and confidential environment.
